Formspree Alternative: Nisuform vs Formspree

Both services do the same core job. You point an HTML form at an endpoint, and the service stores each submission, filters spam and emails you. The differences are in what the free plan keeps, what each paid step costs and how much it includes.

Where Formspree is ahead#

• More forms for free. Formspree's free plan has no form limit. Nisuform's Free plan has 3 forms per team.
• Chat alerts without paying. Formspree sends submissions to Slack, Discord, Telegram and WhatsApp on its free plan. On Nisuform, Slack, Discord and Telegram are Pro features.
• Bigger plans. Formspree's Business plan covers 20,000 submissions a month, with custom plans above that. Nisuform Pro covers 5,000.
• Bigger files. Formspree allows up to 25 MB per file. Nisuform allows up to 25 MB per submission, across up to 5 files.
• A long track record. Formspree has run since 2014 and is the form backend most tutorials mention.

Where Nisuform is ahead#

• Free submissions are kept. Formspree's free plan archives submissions for 30 days, with no search or export. Nisuform keeps submissions on every plan until you delete them, with search and CSV export included.
• Twice the free volume. 100 submissions a month on Free, against 50.
• More submissions for less once you pay. Nisuform Pro is $10 a month for 5,000 submissions. On Formspree, $15 a month covers 200 and 2,000 costs $30.
• Spam filtering with nothing to set up. Every form gets a honeypot, a fill-time check, rate limits and duplicate detection. Spam goes to a spam folder and never counts toward your monthly limit. Cloudflare Turnstile is optional on every plan.
• Prompts for AI coding tools. Each form's Setup tab has a prompt with your endpoint and field names for Cursor, Claude Code or Lovable.

Formspree free plan limits#

Formspree is free for 50 submissions a month, with unlimited forms. The free plan leaves out:

• Long-term history. Submissions are archived for 30 days.
• Search and export. Both start on Personal, at $15 a month.
• File uploads and a custom thank-you page. Also Personal and up.
• Webhooks and auto-replies. These start on Professional, at $30 a month.

Slack, Discord, Telegram and WhatsApp alerts and allowed domains are included for free.

Nisuform Free has 100 submissions a month and 3 forms. Every submission is kept until you delete it, with search and CSV export, and spam never counts toward the limit. File uploads, redirects, webhooks and chat alerts need Pro.

Formspree pricing at each volume#

Prices are for monthly billing. Billed yearly, Nisuform Pro is $84 a year and Formspree Personal is $120 a year.

Switching from Formspree#

Your inputs, labels and styles stay the same. Only the endpoint and a few special fields change.

1. Create a form#

   Sign in at app.nisuform.com, create a form and copy its endpoint from the Setup tab.

2. Change the action URL#

3. Rename Formspree's special fields#

   Nisuform ignores fields that start with an underscore, apart from its own special fields.

   • Rename _replyto to email. Otherwise the visitor's address is dropped, and replying to the notification won't reach them.
   • Rename _next to _redirect. Redirects are a Pro feature.
   • Remove _subject and set the subject in the form's Settings, Email. This works on every plan.
   • Keep _gotcha. It works the same way.

4. Send a test submission#

   Submit the form from your live site and check that it reaches your inbox and your email.
