# Inbox

Read, star, flag and delete submissions one at a time or many at once, see where each one came from, and download uploaded files.

Every form has its own inbox. Open a form and it lands on the **Inbox** tab, with the newest submissions first.

## Filters

| Filter | Shows |
| ------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| All | Every submission except spam. |
| Unread | Submissions you haven't opened yet, except spam. |
| Starred | Submissions you starred. |
| Spam | Submissions that Nisuform, or you, marked as spam. |

Unread submissions are highlighted in the list. The inbox shows 15 submissions per page.

## Read a submission

Select a submission to open it. Opening it marks it as read. You see:

* Every answer, labeled with the field's **Label** from the form builder. Fields your form sent that the builder doesn't list are shown by their name.
* Validation problems, if some answers didn't match your fields. See [Fields and validation](/docs/forms/fields).
* Uploaded files, with their names and sizes. Select one to download it.
* **Received**: the date and time.
* **Page**: the page the form was sent from.
* **Location**: the country the request came from.
* **Device**: desktop, mobile, tablet or bot, and the browser.
* **IP address**: unless you turned off **Store IP addresses** for the form.
* **Submission ID**: the same ID the endpoint returned, and the one webhooks and integrations use. Select it to copy.

Press the up and down arrow keys to move to the newer or older submission, across pages too. Test submissions sent from the dashboard have a **Test** badge.

Links in notification emails and integrations open the submission straight away, on the page of the inbox it belongs to. If it has been moved to spam since, the inbox switches to the spam folder.

## Star, flag and delete

The actions at the top of an open submission:

* **Mark unread** or **Mark read**.
* **Star** to find the submission later under **Starred**.
* **Flag spam** moves the submission to the spam folder. **Not spam** moves it back to your inbox. Moving a submission doesn't send notifications.
* **Delete** removes the submission and its uploaded files for good. It can't be undone.

## Select several

Select a submission's avatar, or its checkbox when you point at it, to select it. Then use the bar at the bottom of the screen to mark the selection read or unread, star it, flag it as spam or delete it.

* Hold **Shift** and select another submission to select everything in between.
* Use the checkbox above the list to select the whole page. To select every submission in the current filter, not just this page, choose **Select all** in the note that appears.
* Your selection stays when you move between pages, so you can pick submissions from several pages. It clears when you switch filters.
* With a submission focused, press **X** to select it. Press **Esc** to clear the selection.

Deleting asks you to confirm first, and tells you when some of the selected submissions are on other pages. Selecting every submission in a filter only includes the ones that had arrived when you selected them, so a submission that comes in while you work is never changed or deleted by accident.

## Spam folder

Submissions that look like spam, such as messages full of links or exact repeats, go to the spam folder instead of your inbox. They don't send notifications, don't reach your integrations and don't count toward your monthly limit. Check the folder now and then, and choose **Not spam** for anything that belongs in your inbox. See [How spam filtering works](/docs/protection/spam).

Bots caught by the honeypot or the fill-time check are dropped before anything is stored, so they never appear in the spam folder.

## Dashboard overview

The **Dashboard** page summarizes your team: submissions, spam blocked, unread submissions and the last submission for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with a chart per day. Filter it by form, jump to your recent forms, and watch your monthly usage against your plan's limit.

## Export

Choose **Export CSV** in the inbox to download the submissions in the current filter. See [Export submissions](/docs/submissions/export).
